Violence and drug concerns at Bullingdon Prison

A new report claims drug taking, violence and staff shortages remain major problems at an Oxfordshire prison, despite repeated calls for the government to improve conditions.

HMP Bullingdon's independent monitoring board said some inmates continue to be locked in their cells for up to 23 hours a day.

The Ministry of Justice said more prison officers have been recruited, and Bullingdon is in good order.
