Oxford flood map project needs volunteers

An interactive map monitoring Oxford's river levels requires the public's help to widen its scope, its makers have said.

Sensors around the city give real time data, which is then displayed online, enabling people to take action when water levels rise.

Ben Ward, from the Oxford Flood Network, said he hoped the public would volunteer to have sensors installed in their gardens and under their floorboards to increase the map's effectiveness.
