Stray dog found in Newark has a nose for sniffing out crime

A dog found living on the streets which is now helping to sniff out crime for police and security companies has demonstrated his "excellent nose".

Stitch, an English pointer springer cross, was picked up in Newark, Nottinghamshire, in February by a woman who notified a local dog warden service.

The dog now helps to find drugs and pyrotechnics.

His handler, Kelvyn Pease, said such transformations among canines are "very few and far between".
