Royal Navy pilot Alex Tuckwood lands Lynx helicopter on playground

A Royal Navy flight observer has dropped in to visit his old school aboard a Lynx helicopter.

Lt Alex Tuckwood visited Carlton le Willows Academy in Nottinghamshire, where he studied GCSEs, to tell pupils about his military career.

His mother Sue Tuckwood said it was at the school where a Navy careers officer suggested he take up a career in the Forces.

Head teacher Rod Bond-Taylor said he was "incredibly proud".

James Roberson reports for East Midlands Today.
