Nottingham cancer patient, 40, treated on children's ward

A 40-year-old man suffering from a rare form of cancer is one of the first adults in the country to be treated on a children's ward.

Alex Lewis-Mayhew suffers from a brain tumour which is rare in adults but more common in youngsters.

His consultant at Nottingham Children's Hospital is backing a bill in parliament which would make it easier to use treatments which have not been trialled.
