Lorry carrying 600 turkeys overturns in Norwich

A lorry carrying about 600 Bernard Matthews turkeys has overturned on a roundabout in Norwich.

The crash happened at a roundabout on Daniels Road, near the Notcutts Garden Centre, at about 11:30 GMT.

Norfolk Police said the driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

BBC Radio Norfolk reporter Bob Carter said the lorry had a smashed windscreen after the crash, in which the vehicle hit a lamp post.

He spoke to Scott Norman, from the fire service, about the crash.
