Liverpool FC-backed military veterans group threatened by funding cut

A project to help military veterans, backed by Liverpool Football Club, is warning it is in danger of collapse.

Barracks to Bootroom, which was set up in 2012 to help former servicemen with the transition back into civilian life, has had £70,000 annual NHS funding withdrawn.

The players have appealed to the Reds to help save the scheme.

The club has given no indication the project will survive past the end of this year.
