St Vincent's School awarded freedom of Liverpool for work with visually impaired pupils

A school for the blind and partially sighted in Liverpool has been awarded the freedom of the city for its work.

Nearly 180 years after it was set up to educate blind children so they could find employment, St Vincent's received official recognition on Wednesday.
