First '£1 home' in Liverpool ready to welcome occupants

Liverpool's first "£1 home" has been fully refurbished by its new owners in time for Christmas.

Taxi driver Jayalal Madde gave the city's mayor Joe Anderson a tour of his new home, which he bought for £1 but refurbished for nearly £40,000.

The Toxteth property was sold as part of a Liverpool City Council scheme to regenerate derelict areas.

BBC North West Tonight's Andy Gill reports.
