Is Salford's Beat The Street game the next Pokemon Go?

People in Salford have been taking part in a giant city-wide game which has been likened to the popular mobile game, Pokemon Go.

Like in that successful app, the free Beat The Street game requires players to find specific locations where they can log their activity use electronic fobs and earn points.

The local council say anyone can take part and hope it will encourage the city's residents to be more active.

About 175,000 people played the game in 2015, but that was before its more famous competitor was released in the UK.

BBC North West Tonight went to find out what this year's players thought of Salford's game.
