Lancashire cricketers help flood-stricken Ramsbottom club

The captain and head coach of Lancashire County Cricket Club were among volunteers helping to clean up the home of local league club Ramsbottom after floods on Boxing Day.

It could cost about £70,000 to set up flood defences at the club's ground but the England and Wales Cricket Board has given a grant of £10,000 towards repairs.

Lancashire captain Steven Croft said: "The lads wanted to come and help out, and do their bit."
