Henning tribute: Cabbies, balloons and celebrity football

Tributes have been paid in the north-west of England for humanitarian aid worker Alan Henning who was murdered by Islamic State militants in Syria in October.

A cabbie convoy culminated in Salford where hundreds of yellow balloons were released in his memory.

And soap actors played at AFC Monton in Eccles to raise funds for Mr Henning's family.
