Bolton's All Souls Church transformed by community pods

A historical Bolton church will be transformed into a community centre when a series of "futuristic" interconnected pods are placed inside the building.

The £3.6m project at All Souls Church is the biggest to be undertaken by the Church Conservation Trust, which works to restore places of worship.

The pods are designed to leave the original building work untouched. They will be used for meeting spaces, a library, gym and dental surgery, the Trust said.

BBC North West Tonight reporter Yunnus Mulla took a look around the church as work began.
