Injured cyclist saved by new London Air Ambulance procedure

A 24 year-old-cyclist has thanked paramedics after London Air Ambulance used a pioneering new technique to save her life.

Victoria Lebrec's leg had to be amputated after she was run over by a skip lorry on Clerkenwell Road, in central London, last December.

She only survived because a procedure using an air bag was used at the roadside to stop her bleeding to death.

BBC London's Emilia Papadopoulos spoke to Ms Lebrec.
