London HS2 disruption fear in Ruislip

Residents in Ruislip, in north west London, fear they will face years of disruption during the construction of the HS2 high-speed rail link.

The line will link London to Birmingham but there is concern among some over how the major tunnelling work involved will impact on people living in the area.

HS2 said it would be working to minimise disruption and a longer tunnel was not being considered because of cost and environmental reasons.

BBC London's transport correspondent Tom Edwards spoke to Ickenham Residents' Association's Brian Adams, MP Nick Hurd and Ruislip Against HS2's Lottie Jones.
