Houseboat owners 'spoiled view' fear

People living on houseboats on a stretch of the Thames in Battersea have said they could be forced to leave the area because they are spoiling the view from some luxury apartments being built.

Houseboat owners at Nine Elms say the developer, St James, wants them to leave and has not renewed leases that enable them to cross a company-owned wall on to the mainland.

The company said the leases would be renewed shortly, although the boats on that part of the river might not be included in its final plans.

BBC London's Charlotte Franks spoke to houseboat owner David Waterhouse.
