Lewisham A&E fight moves to Downing Street

The fight to save services at Lewisham Hospital went to the heart of government when a petition with 32,000 signatures was presented to 10 Downing Street on Friday.

It was part of the protest against proposals to close the A&E at Lewisham by administrators who are trying to rescue the neighbouring South London Healthcare Trust, which is in dire financial difficulties.

BBC London's Matthew Morris talks to Lewisham Hospital matron Harry O'Hara, A&E consultant at the hospital Matthew Kershaw and Dr Jane Fryer, medical director at NHS South East London.
