Kayleigh Haywood: Police appeal after 'teenager body found'

The police officer leading the murder investigation into the disappearance of teenager Kayleigh Haywood has appealed for information from the public.

Det Ch Supt David Sandall said he "still needs your help" to find out exactly what happened to Kayleigh "leading up to her death".

Police believe a body found near a lake to the north of Ibstock is that of the 15-year-old, from Measham in Leicestershire.

Formal identification has yet to take place and a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Two men, aged 27 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Police have until Friday afternoon to question the men.
