'Killer terrapins' to be trapped in Ashby canal

A charity has appealed for volunteers to help catch terrapins which are threatening to decimate wildlife in a Leicestershire canal.

The Canal and River Trust said they have been catching the reptiles in live traps along Ashby canal.

It is believed they were dumped following the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze in the 1990s.

James Roberson reports for East Midlands Today.
