Lancashire veterans of the Normandy landings receive France's highest military honour

Two Lancashire veterans of the Normandy landings have received France's highest military honour.

George Clarke and Stanley Dickinson were described as "heroes of Chorley" as they were awarded the Legion d'Honneur for their part in the liberation of France during World War Two.

Both described themselves as humbled during the presentation by the French Consul at Chorley Town Hall on Friday.
