Missing Charlene Downes: Mother's criticism over Blackpool CCTV find

The mother of a teenager who went missing 13 years ago says she is "disgusted" that some CCTV footage has only just been found and released by police.

New shots of 14-year-old Charlene Downes, who was last seen in Blackpool town centre, were discovered by Lancashire Police during a trawl of CCTV.

Her body has never been found and her disappearance is being treated as murder.

Karen Downes, who said she "can't fathom why" the footage has never been discovered previously, hopes her family "can get some answers".

Lancashire Police said it "understood" Ms Downes's views.

Peter Marshall reports for BBC North West Tonight.
