Kent PCC Ann Barnes grilled by crime panel

Kent's Police and Crime Commissioner Ann Barnes has insisted she will not resign despite being accused of presiding over a series of disasters.

She faced a grilling by the Kent and Medway Police and Crime Panel where she apologised for taking part in a "fly-on-the-wall" documentary that critics said made the force look like a laughing stock.

Simon Jones was at the meeting where he spoke to Mrs Barnes, along with Councillor Andrew Bowles, the Conservative leader of Swale Borough Council, and Councillor Mike Hill, the Conservative chairman of the crime panel.
