School injuries payouts top £1m for Humber councils

More than £1m has been paid out by councils in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire for injuries in schools over the past five years.

Parents have successfully sued local authorities for a number of cases including trapped fingers in a desk, falls in the playground and sunstroke on a school trip.
