Scrapped steamer 'could be rebuilt

A former Humber ferry could be rebuilt as a tourist attraction, a maritime preservation group has said.

Stephen Sharpe is chairman of the group hoping to rebuild a replica of the Lincoln Castle paddle steamer from scrap.

He said a working vessel could cost more than £8m.

The ferry was used as a pub in Grimsby until three years ago when she was broken up and scrapped.
