New water bottle trial starts at Scunthorpe hospital

A new device to stop hospital patients dehydrating is being trialled at a hospital in Scunthorpe.

People on three wards at Scunthorpe General are using the Hydrants - a water bottle with a long straw - as part of a national effort to combat dehydration.

The inventor, Mark Moran, who is originally from Grimsby, has been in Scunthorpe to see the product in action.
