Help needed to unlock canals tradition in the West Midlands

An appeal has gone out for new volunteer lock keepers to keep canals in the West Midlands region moving.

The Canal & River Trust charity has said it needs more help operating locks and dealing with visitors on the Worcester and Birmingham canal network.

The charity said the offer was open to anyone over the age of 18, and it would provide training.
