Family outrage as mum left in A&E corridor for 12 hours

The daughter of a pensioner who was left for 12 hours on a trolley in A&E has accused the Worcestershire Royal Hospital of being in the "dark ages".

Laura Webb says her 85-year-old Mother, Barbara Sunpter, was left with around 15 other elderly people in a corridor.

She'd fallen over in her garden in Droitwich Spa and dislocated her shoulder.

The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust says it's very sorry. It was during a very busy period.

The trust added that an extension to the A&E unit was expected to help deal with high levels of demand.
