Old Worcester secondary school photos rescued from tip

Photographs chronicling the history of a Worcester school have been unearthed by the widow of a former teacher.

Dennis Fisher's wife Janet found more than 250 old Samuel Southall Secondary Modern School photos dating back to the mid 1960s that her husband had kept; and was going to take them to the tip but then decided to give them to an ex student.

Another former pupil, Alan Mansell, said it was a "treasure trove of nostalgia".

The photos have already been viewed on Facebook more than 20,000 times.
