Dairy industry turns sour for Herefordshire farmer

A dairy farming family from Herefordshire have said they've been left with no choice other than to sell their herd.

The Whistance family, in Much Dewchurch, have blamed falling milk prices for their decision.

Thirty six Midlands dairy farms have sold up and got out of the business in the past 12 months, according to the Food Standards Agency.

Kevin Whistance sold 500 cattle. His wife, Sally, said it was a business decision but "nothing would take away the heartache".
