Isle of Wight fast ferry first to be built in UK for 15 years

The first fast ferry to be built in the UK for 15 years is under construction on the Isle of Wight.

Passenger ferry Red Jet 6 is being built at a cost of £6m in Cowes.

Transport correspondent Paul Clifton said it is a one-off order for now.

The work has created 15 new jobs and the ferry is due to take passengers between the island and the mainland by the summer.
