Old Stroud factory whistle brought back to life

An original factory whistle from a former clothing factory in Gloucestershire has sounded for the first time in more than 40 years.

The whistle once sounded to signal home time for workers at the Holloway Brothers factory in Stroud. The site closed in 1975.

It belongs to Faye Woodward whose father worked there. The whistle was restored by engineers at at steam company in Cheltenham.
