Cirencester mainline railway link planned

A plan for a "light" rail service linking Cirencester to mainline services in Kemble is being proposed by a local railway heritage group.

Cirencester Community Railway wants to raise funds for a feasibility study to lay four miles of track.

Mayor Mark Harris said the plan would help link up the town with London and make it "so much easier" to do business with the capital.
