Basildon Council: UKIP could end end 'two-way election battle'

In two weeks time it will be polling day not only for the European elections but also for some of the local councils in the East.

For 40 years the battle for control of Basildon Council in Essex has been a two-way fight between Labour and the Conservatives.

But now UKIP is threatening to upset the balance.
