Colchester Hospital faces bullying allegations

Nurses at an Essex hospital placed in special measures have made more than 40 complaints about staffing levels over the past 18 months, a union has said.

Colchester Hospital is already being investigated over claims cancer records were changed to improve waiting times. Now it is facing fresh allegations that staff were bullied into falsifying other patient records.

Royal College of Nursing Regional Director Karen Webb said she believed a culture of bullying existed at the hospital.
