Walton-on-the-Naze munitions store goes up in flames

A clear-up has started after a major fire broke out at a munitions store in Essex.

Fifty residents of Walton-on-the-Naze had to leave their homes and one man was taken to hospital with minor burns.

Bomb disposal experts were called to the site in Old Hall Lane, which has now been declared safe.

Explosives expert Anthony Debski, who owns the munitions, told Kevin Burch the lost material was irreplaceable.
