Halstead schoolboy fights to stop plan for new Tesco store

A 12-year-old boy has taken on supermarket giant Tesco to try to stop a new store being built in his Essex town.

Billybob Penn, who lives at Halstead, does not want the development to destroy a collection of wartime air-raid shelters which he said he loves.

His mother, Eileen Penn, said few towns in the county have a piece of natural woodland in the town centre.
