Brain tumour boy's appeal hits fundraising goal

A fundraising appeal to help a five-year-old boy from Dorset get treatment for a inoperable brain tumour has reached its £50,000 target.

Riley Blaker, from Weymouth, has been given months to live.

His mum, Adele Blaker, set up an appeal on Friday to raise funds for a treatment, not available on the NHS, which could prolong his life.

The pioneering treatment, convection-enhanced delivery, is available in Bristol and involves injecting chemotherapy drugs directly into the tumour.
