Paralysed man awarded £2m after spinal abscess missed

NHS medical blunders dating back more than 20 years are still costing millions of pounds a year in compensation, it has emerged.

Kevin Greenfield, from Derby, was recently paid £2m in compensation after doctors failed to spot a spinal abscess. The delay in treatment left him paralysed.

He waited five years for the pay-out which he says will help fund his care in the future.
