Forced marriage victims in Leicester 'not going to police'
Too many women threatened with forced marriage are failing to report it, according to a national conference.
The conference, held at the Leicestershire Police Headquarters, was attended by victims, lawyers and police officers from across the country.
It was sponsored by the SAFE project, a Leicester domestic violence charity, and organised with the support of Leicestershire Police.
Last year the force investigated 26 cases of forced marriage.
Eleanor Garnier reports.
