Lake District flock goes under the hammer for charity

Dozens of life-sized model sheep are going under the hammer to raise money for a Lake District charity.

Over the past six months 108 ewes and lambs have been on show across Cumbria.

Each one has been decorated by a local business or artist and the Herdwick public art trail is in aid of the Calvert Trust.

Expected to raise between £500 and £1,300 each, the animals go to auction on 8 October.
