Cockermouth traders blame road works for slump

Traders in Cockermouth are blaming a 50% slump in customers on road works in the town centre.

Council bosses say the drainage work, which has closed off Main Street since the beginning of March, is essential.

But some shop owners, who were also hit by recent floods, are calling for urgent action to avert further losses.
