Jaguar's electric racing car unveiled

After a 12-year absence from motorsport, Jaguar has launched a brand new racing car.

The I-Type 1 is an electric car and will compete in the third season of the Formula E Championship, starting in Hong Kong on 9 October.

Jaguar hopes the new technology will quickly move from the racetrack to the garage showroom.

It is drawing on the expertise of the 9,000 engineers it employs at its site in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
