Nicola Payne family pledges to continue search

On the 24th anniversary of her disappearance, Nicola Payne's family have said they will never give up looking for her.

West Midlands Police said its priority was to find the 18-year-old's remains so that her family could lay her to rest.

Miss Payne, from Coventry, vanished as she crossed wasteland towards her parents' house in 1991.

The force has started a review into its inquiry.

Her mother, Marilyn Payne, said she used to decorate the Christmas tree with Nicola and for years after her daughter's death, couldn't face putting one up in the house.
