Unseen footage of Torrey Canyon tanker's trail of death

Unseen footage has emerged of the devastating effects of pollution from an oil tanker that sank off the South West coast 50 years ago.

The Torrey Canyon leaked million of gallons of crude oil after grounding on rocks around Land's End, on 18 March 1967, and thousands of seabirds died in what remains the UK's worst environmental accident.

Former fireman Roy Ireland has released his previously unseen footage that he shot on his family's cine camera.
