Skipper found guilty in £80m drug smuggling operation

The skipper of a fishing boat has been found guilty of trying to import almost one tonne of cocaine into the UK.

Two other men had already pleaded guilty to trying to import the drug, with a street value of around £80m.

The three men were arrested on board the vessel Bianca off the coast of Cornwall last August.

The National Crime Agency said it was the biggest single seizure of cocaine in the UK in 2016.
