Missing dog rescued after 66ft mineshaft fall

A dog owner has been reunited with her pet after it was rescued from a 66ft (20m) mineshaft, firefighters say.

Indie the golden retriever had been missing for two days when she was finally located by her owner.

Crews rescued the dog from the disused and uncapped shaft, near Wheal Jane in Cornwall, on Tuesday using a pulley and a special harness.

She appeared to be uninjured despite her ordeal.
