Amputee asks lorry driver who hit her to come forward

A woman who lost her leg after an accident when she went help at the scene of a crash has appealed to the lorry driver who hit her and drove off to come forward.

Mother of two Keely Adams, from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, and her partner had stopped to help people trapped in a car which had overturned when she saw lorry speeding towards her.

She tried to get out of its path but tripped as she ran towards the verge and the lorry ran over her. Surgeons were unable to save her leg.

Police say that they are still investigating the crash in Leighton Buzzard on 23 November last year and are looking for the driver.
