Inside the hidden cave under Bristol's streets

Pen Park Hole is a natural wonder which is hidden 25 metres under the streets of suburban Bristol.

The cave complex under the suburb of Southmead was recently declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

BBC Inside Out has been given a rare opportunity to see inside the cave with a group of intrepid explorers.

Linda Wilson from the University of Bristol and Chris Westcott from Natural England provide an insight into the natural history of the cave.

Inside Out West is broadcast on BBC One at 19:30 GMT on Monday, 13 February and nationwide on the iPlayer thereafter for 30 days.
