Head-butted ambulance worker's fears for repeat attack

An ambulance technician who was head-butted by a patient in the Black Country says he's worried it may happen again.

Bob Burness, 59, was called out to reports of an unconscious man at a block of flats in West Bromwich.

But when the crew turned up on 3 January, the man became aggressive and the grandfather of five was left with blood pouring down his nose.

Donald Hornby was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison at Dudley Magistrates' Court on 5 January, after pleading guilty to assault.
