Moment uninsured driver is stopped by police

BBC cameras have captured the moment a man was stopped by police for driving without car insurance.

The operation in Birmingham is part of a week-long, regional crackdown on uninsured motorists - there are a million in the UK, according to the Motor Insurers' Bureau (MIB).

Those caught will have their car seized, six points on their licence and a £300 fixed penalty notice.

BBC Inside Out West Midlands has more on the operation, beginning Monday, on BBC One at 19:30 BST, Friday 21 October - and on BBC iPlayer for seven days afterwards.
